Website design & redesigns for established businesses

A website you're proud to send
people to

Has your business grown while your website stayed the same? Let's plan the words, the structure and the design around how your customers choose you.

Sound familiar?

Signs it's time for a change

If you've said one of these about your website lately, it might be time for a redesign. Or it might just need a few fixes. Either way, it's worth a chat.

Our business has changed, but the website still describes what we did years ago.

Honestly, I avoid sending people the link.

It's so hard to update that it just doesn't get updated.

It looks fine on my laptop and a bit of a mess on my phone.

I explain what we do much better in person than the website does.

Emma

That last one comes up a lot, and it's very fixable. Let's get your website saying what you'd say.

What's included

What a new website includes

Pages planned first

The pages are planned around how your customers decide, before any design starts.

Words shaped with you

You know your business best. You'll get help shaping the words, so each page clearly explains what you do, who you help and why customers choose you.

A design that reflects your business

A website that feels right for your business, makes it easy for customers to find what they need and looks just as good on mobile as it does on a computer.

Set up to be found

Page titles, headings, image descriptions and your Google details set up properly from day one.

Connected and tested

Forms, bookings and your Google Business Profile connected and tested before anything goes live.

Yours to keep

You'll have full admin access to your website, with the freedom to manage it yourself or move to another hosting provider. You'll also receive guidance on making simple updates when needed.

Before you start again

Redesign, refresh, or a few fixes?

Not every website needs a complete rebuild. Sometimes a few improvements to the design, content or technical setup can make a real difference.

The best place to start is by understanding what's working, what isn't and whether your current website still meets the needs of your business.

How it works

Three steps, no guesswork.

01  Talk and plan

A chat about your business, then a plan for the pages and a fixed quote before anything starts.

02  Design and build

The homepage is designed first and agreed with you. That look then carries through the rest of the site.

03  Launch and look after

Once everything has been checked, tested and approved, your website is ready to go live. And if you'd rather leave the technical side to someone else, ongoing hosting and Website Care are available.

Good questions

Questions people
ask

How long does a new website take?

Most website projects take around 2–8 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the site, how ready the content is and the time needed for feedback and revisions.

What do I need to provide?

Your knowledge of your business, along with any branding, logos, photos or existing content you have. You'll also get help shaping the words so your website clearly explains what you do and who you help.

Do I own my website?

Yes. Emmagraphy websites are currently built using WordPress. You'll have full admin access, own your website and have the freedom to move to another hosting provider if you ever need to.

What does it cost?

Websites start at $1,450 for one page, $2,950 for six pages and $4,450 for twelve. Every website has a fixed price, agreed in writing before work starts. See the pricing page for everything else.

Will my new website be set up for SEO?

Yes. Every website is built with the basics Google needs: clear page titles and descriptions, a sensible heading structure, image descriptions, a sitemap, and redirects from your old pages so nothing gets lost.

That gives Google the best chance of understanding what you do and where. Rankings take time, and nobody can honestly promise them. A well-built foundation is where it starts.

Will my business show up in AI answers, like ChatGPT?

AI tools like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews draw on your website, your Google Business Profile and what other people say about you, like your reviews.

So your website is written to answer the questions they look for: what you do, who you do it for and where. Your business details are kept the same everywhere. Nobody can control whether an AI tool mentions you, but clear, consistent information makes it far more likely to describe you correctly.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

Not necessarily. When a website is redesigned, it's important to protect the SEO work already done. That includes setting up redirects from old page URLs to new ones, checking that important content is retained and making sure Google can find and index the new pages.

What happens after launch?

Your website is yours, so you're welcome to arrange your own hosting and maintenance. If you'd rather leave it with me, the Website Care Plan covers hosting, updates, backups, security and ongoing technical support.
